Jane Lee – Senior Occupational Therapist

After graduating from the University of Sydney, Jane worked as an ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) Therapist with experience working with children with Developmental Delay and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Jane has worked as an Occupational Therapist in various paediatric private practices throughout Sydney, joining Therapies for Kids in August 2012, and is the Senior Occupational Therapist on our team.

Jane has experience working with babies, children and adolescents who have fine and gross motor coordination difficulties, handwriting difficulties, joint hypermobility, Learning Difficulties, Dyspraxia, Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disabilities (Mild to Profound), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorders, and many other diagnoses.

Jane has first-hand experience in supporting a family member who has an Intellectual Disability, so she understands the importance of working with children and their families to meet their individual needs and goals. She has an interest in improving confidence in children and uses behaviour modification techniques throughout therapy sessions.

Some recent professional development courses that Jane has attended include: Wilbarger’s Therapressure (Brushing) Program, NSW Board of Studies Disability Provisions and Hypermobility in Children, and SOS (Sequential-Oral-Sensory) Approach to Feeding.
