Sarah Hallams – Physiotherapist

Sarah is the Senior Physiotherapist on the Therapies for Kids team.

Sarah completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle in 2007. She worked at Prince of Wales Hospital as a new graduate and spent two months at Sydney Children’s Hospital as part of this program. On completing her new graduate year Sarah moved next door to the Prince of Wales Private Hospital where she worked in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, general surgery and cardiothoracic surgical wards. In 2010 Sarah became the Coordinator of this service, doing a mixture of managerial and clinical work.

Sarah travelled through Africa in 2013 and during this time worked with children with cerebral palsy and developmental delay. This reignited her interest in working in paediatrics and when she returned to Sydney she approached Debbie Evans about doing some work experience at Therapies For Kids. After a few months of volunteering at TFK a position became available and Sarah made the transition into the much more colourful world of children’s physiotherapy! She loves helping babies meet their milestones and is especially interested in helping kids with neurological conditions to meet their full potential.
